The International Summer School in Prague is delighted to announce the Charles S. Peirce Young Scholar Award competition.
The intent of the award is to recognize excellence in research by young scholars within the field of semiotics; participants of the summer school with paper presentations will be considered in the competition.
The award is a $1000 cash prize; additionally, the winner will be invited to submit their essay for publication, subject to editorial revision, in the Peirce Studies Series. The prize is funded by the Institute for Studies in Pragmaticism to recognize and encourage excellence in interdisciplinary semiotic research.
Selection for the award is based on originality, its potential for scholarly and scientific impact, writing and presentation quality, and relevance for semiotic research. Presentations on all topics will be considered for the award.
How to apply
All eligible participants who present a paper during the summer school.
The award covers $1.000.- in financial support for research expenses.
