Online and In-Person Lectures with Prof. Vinicius Romanini and Dr. Joao Mateo Cunha

The International Semiotics Institute hosted a series of online and in-person lectures with Prof. Vinicius Romanini and Dr. Joao Mateo Cunha.

Prof. Vinicius Romanini, the first international speaker in the series, delivered two online lectures. The first, “The Semiotics of Intelligence: Abduction Meets the Free Energy Principle,” took place on Tuesday, April 7, at 4:00 p.m. The second, “Designing Meaning: Semiotics, Branding and the Logic of Consumer Experience,” was held on Wednesday, April 8, at 11:30 a.m.

Dr. Joao Mateo Cunha also presented an online lecture, “Continuity, Creative Evolution and the Shared Mind,” on Wednesday, April 8, at 10:00 a.m.

The programme concluded with a joint lecture by both speakers, “Collateral Experience and Colonial Difference: Towards a Decolonial Semiotics,” which took place on Thursday, April 9, at 11:30 a.m. in classroom KB 1.04 at Křížkovského 12. The lecture was also made available online.

The lectures formed part of the International Semiotics Institute’s ongoing programme of academic events and international collaborations.
